About Signorina

I’ve always loved to write ever since I was in grade school. I remember maintaining a notebook where I’d write stories from horror to romance. I also had diaries and they’re always still funny when I read them. I’m not sure why, of all other things, I chose writing to be one of my active hobbies. Probably because, through writing, I can express whatever I feel without harming anything or anyone – just my hand. Hahaha. Anyway, here’s a few stuff about me. *winkwink*

I’m a pluviophile. I love to watch the cloudy grey skies, to feel the cold breeze that brushes against my face and skin, to touch the mist on the window pane, to witness the grand drops of the rain on the ground, and to listen to the sound that the rain makes when it falls on the roof. These scenarios just inexplicably give me peace and happiness. Every. Single. Time.

Coffee. If there’s one thing that I’m in love with which I can’t let go, it’s coffee. I believe in forever with it lol. It’s my own kind of drug and my only companion during the wee hours of the night because I really love to stay late at night and I really don’t know why. Maybe because I feel so much serenity? Jeez, I’m a sucker for it.

Books. Oh, boy, I love books! I love the smell of the pages especially of a newly-bought one. Funny, I actually really do close my eyes when I sniff the pages. The smell is my other type of drug lol. And yes, I linger at bookstores, eyeing on possibly good books, and at times, really taking them right away to the cashier just so I could no longer waste time or worse, change my mind hahaha. If you ask me, I highly recommend Mitch Albom’s The First Phone Call from Heaven and The Five People You Meet in Heaven. Those two books are my top 2 favorite books, so far. In fact, with the former, I was only supposed to read a chapter so I can still study for an exam, but I ended up finishing the entire book on that same day. That was how captivating the book was, for me.

Guitar. I play acoustic guitar but only the basics. At first, I thought it was hard and that you really need to hire a teacher but when my mother bought me a guitar, I tried to learn by myself. I bought a tuner and a capo, downloaded a complete guitar chord chart, watched Youtube videos, and poof! I eventually learned! Hahaha.

I’m a certified public accountant with my license that’s about to expire and I’m afraid I won’t be able to renew it because of the required CPD units which I could not meet (lol), so technically, I will no longer be “licensed” before the year ends. (12/20/2019 update: I have successfully renewed my license! But from 100 required CPD units, it doubled to 220. We can do this! Hahaha) Oh, by the way, let me share with you my testimony about my CPA journey. You can read it here: Trusting Him

Relationship. Ah, none. By choice hahhaha. According to my blogger friend, Joseph, “there’s more to life than being in a relationship”, which I am really convinced, and couldn’t agree more. Hahaha. In fact, he made me a guest blogger in his blog. Oh diba! Curious? Read it here: Definitely Single But Definitely Happy

Wait, I think I’ve already written a lot hahaha. So, what about you? Para saan ka bumabangon? 😀

Praying that you’ll be blessed so you can be a blessing to others,
Juani

  8. Hey there Newbie Spikey!
(for your info, a Spikey is the term for folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.

Blogging since June 2013, my aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations, opinions and lighter-hearted stuff thrown in for good measure.

I normally keep to a couple of posts a day, maybe 3-4 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

Thanks again and hope you have a great day…
