About Signorina

In the later years of my humble existence in this world, I learned that all through the 7,300-plus days I breathed air, I’ve been living my second life. I learned from my good aunt that during my mother’s delivery of the baby me, my neck stuck upon the lining of mom’s reproductive organ. They said that she was already tired of pushing me out of her that she badly wanted to stop. But my head was already out, and if she could have rested for a couple of seconds more,  I wouldn’t have been here right now; I wouldn’t have been able to meet awesome people in this awesome site; it would have been my first and last glance of Earth. But due to the greatest force that was with her, I was able to totally get out of her (thank God). Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to let out a cry. Everybody who were witnessing that moment all felt their nerves wanting to burst out of their skins. They all thought I didn’t make it. But ladies and gents, this humble blogsite exists. So yeah, thank heavens, I made it. 🙂

For n times, I think about this wonderful opportunity God has given me. I’m supposed to be 20 years dead by now, but it’s the other way around. Maybe, well I do believe that there’s a reason for this second life that I’m currently borrowing from Him.

Through the years of seeking for answers, I learned that the top reason is because God is just so good. Then, I remember that years ago, another one of the reasons finally revealed itself to me.

“Had it not been for you, I would have long been gone.” I remember mama told me that. See, our family is so imperfect; it’s covered with wounds and all the heartaches in the world. But because of God’s love for her, He made ME His instrument in giving her hope and making her see the brighter side amidst all the darkness that seemed to have engulfed her. So yeah. 🙂

I said on my previous About post (yes, this is actually a revised one) that I made this blog site because of my dying passion for writing that has rekindled back to life. However, due to an unknown thing that struck me, I realized that maybe there is something more to that – something that only the universe may know as of the moment. 🙂

This blog, to give you a quick background, is founded on the beautiful pillars of the world – Love, Life, and God. There are some that may be off such pillars though, but we all have beautiful imaginations and random thoughts, so liberate me in sharing them with you.

Well then, welcome to the realm of a signorina who’s turned into a lady who finds herself sharing her random thoughts to the world! 🙂

Have a wonderful day.

God be with you always.

From the Philippines and yes with love,

Mel

P.S. My real name is Juanimel Pogoy. It originated from my paternal and maternal grandmothers, Juanita and Melagros, respectively. Masculine name for a woman, eh? 🙂

Oh, I don’t really have any technical knowledge on this site. I am simply using wordpress.com. Perhaps it has something to do with the theme I am using for this blog (but I am not really sure). The theme is The Ascetica Theme. 🙂

Does one offer guest writers to write content for yourself?
I wouldn’t mind producing a post or elaborating on many of the subjects you write related to here.
    Again, awesome blog!

Thank you for following my blog, Wanderbug! I’ve actually just set up a new emailing list with mail chimp, so that I can send my readers better emails – less frequent, but better (and prettier and more personal) round ups of the best content, the occasional freebies and sneak previews of some travel projects I’m working on. 14. Hey there Newbie Spikey!
(for your info, a Spikey is the term for folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.

Blogging since June 2013, my aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations, opinions and lighter-hearted stuff thrown in for good measure.

I normally keep to a couple of posts a day, maybe 3-4 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

Thanks again and hope you have a great day…

  16. Everything published made a great deal of sense.
However, consider this, suppose you added a little content?

I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to run your website,
however suppose you added something that makes people desire more?
I mean About Musings of a Signorina is kinda boring.
You might glance at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create post headlines to grab viewers interested.
You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to
grab readers interested about everything’ve got to say.
Just my opinion, it might bring your posts a little
    livelier.

    • Hi, LG! Thank you for that honest comment. 🙂 Yeah, I admit my blog is not that interesting and catchy with regard to the additions and stuff. I’m just not that good in running this site. Well, not yet. See, I’m just a neophyte here and all I’m after is I’d be able to publish and share my thoughts, hahaha. But I hope I will be able to handle the kind of things you’re suggesting, and also if I’m given the luxury of time. Thank you, really. 🙂
